OLD LYME, Conn. (Top40 Charts/ Bring Our Music Back Inc.) - Lupe Fiasco, the hit rap artist and activist, is set to headline the Connecticut B.O.M.B. Fest 2010 (Bring Our Music Back) being held on May 30 at The Durham Fairgrounds, in Durham, CT.

Lupe Fiasco hit the airwaves in 2006 with his critically acclaimed album Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor and has been climbing the charts ever since. In fact, climbing is something he recently did to bring awareness to the clean water crisis affecting billions of people worldwide. On January 7, 2010, Lupe joined other musicians, actors Jessica Biel and Emile Hirsch, other celebrities and activists for an expedition to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro. It was called "Summit On The Summit" which is also the title of a documentary airing this month on MTV.

His philanthropic soul is a great match with festival sponsor Bring Our Music Back Inc., a 501c3 whose mission is to enhance life and healing through music. It donates over 70 percent of all proceeds - raised through B.O.M.B. Fest - to select national and local charities. This year's beneficiaries include Hole In The Wall Camps, Connecticut Children's Medical Center and YPI, a children's camp for artistic development.

BOMB Fest 2010 promises to deliver a music extravaganza with as many as 20 local bands sharing the stage with the likes of Mute Math, of Montreal, The Cool Kids, Girl Talk, Roots of Creation and Christine Ohlman & Rebel Montez.

Gates open at 10:30 am with music from noon to 10 pm. Tickets go on sale April 1 through bombfest.com or at the gate. Fair rides will be open for the whole family's enjoyment.
For additional information about B.O.M.B. Fest 2010 being held at the Durham Fairgrounds, please contact Janet Peckinpaugh or visit bombfest.com.
