This is marks Ana's return to music after a long hiatus from music after taking time off. 'De Luna De Sol,' meaning 'Of Moon Of Sun,' is far from what Ana's fans know as, the album is packed with authentic, organic Rock with a twist Pop. However, Ana does not dismiss her fans, on the tracks 'Amor Puro o' Amor Tenido and 'Ambicion y Abaricia,' she showcases her lyrical rap skills she was known for, but the album takes a turn with the song 'Recuerdame, a donde Voy,' as Ana demonstrates her rock persona on the rest of album. All the lyrics and music on De Luna De Sol are written by Ana Alicia with TJ Rivera as a producer, Ana did not have any musical or outside influences while making this album, she oversaw the entire production and knew what sound she wanted while writing the album.

Through trials and tribulations Ana endured throughout her early career in music, she stumbled upon many obstacles that allowed her take time out from her music. 'I have heard that it is the silence between the notes that brings magic to music. That is what I searched for when making this album. I silenced my mind from a crazy world I lived in. Left phones, makeup, designer clothes, LA, Miami and New York behind. Left my family, friends, and literally lived alone in a very small town on a farm. I was so lost and on so many levels disillusioned and broken hearted. So, I began the path to finding myself and wrote songs every step of the way. I was being blinded by the limelight and needed clarity. My reality was all blended together in confusion and the inability of telling right from wrong. It was time to take a couple steps back in order to move forward. I unconsciously chose to get out of the city and protect my soul. I now understand that I needed to stay close to life where art lives. I needed to renew my spiritual connection and go back to basics and balance. That is where the album stems from,' says Ana Alicia.
