LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Concord Picante Records) - The new release from Poncho Sanchez, Psychedelic Blues, hits stores this week (CD & digital) via Concord Picante Records.

On his new release, Sanchez goes back to his latin jazz roots honoring the tradition of Sanchez�s earlier Concord recordings. The album opens with the simmering �Cantaloupe Island,� a Herbie Hancock composition recast in a Latin jazz groove. The title track is a fast-moving mambo, originally written by Sonny Henry and arranged here by Francisco Torres.
