NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) - After more than 10 years of making metal the guys in Fear Factory are calling it quits. The story given is that frontman Burton C. Bell wants to move away from playing angry, aggressive music and wants to form an indie-rock oriented band.

Bassist Christian Olde Wolbers will continue his work with Cypress Hill while Guitarist Dino Cazares will do his death metal project Brujeria and drummer Raymond Herrera will be making music for video games something he's been into for a while.
According to the bands publicist the split had nothing to do with the disappointing sales of their latest album "Digimortal", selling only 152,000 copies since the release in April.
