NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) - Gorillaz member-producer Dan "The Automator" Nakamura has also been monkeying around with Zack De La Rocha lately, helming eight tracks so far for the former Rage Against the Machine rapper's slowly progressing solo album.

"Maybe none of them will make it on the record," Nakamura told allstar. "Obviously, I hope they do, but you never know. We'll see." Nakamura describes the sound as "kind of like if the Country Bear Jamboree was angry."

When asked if we can assume that means that De La Rocha's still yelling as fiercely as ever, Nakamura responded, "No, we thought we'd work more on his Judy Garland angle. He's expressing his Judy Garland side that didn't always make it through on the [Rage] albums."

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Times reports that De La Rocha is also guesting on Blackalicious' MCA Records debut, Blazing Arrow, due on April 30. Other guests on that album include the Roots' ?uestlove, Jurassic 5's Chali 2Na and Cut Chemist, Cibo Matto's Miho Hatori, DJ Shadow, and Saul Williams, according to the paper.
