LOUISIANA (Louis. News) - As expected, jailed rapper C-Murder - real name Corey Miller - pled not guilty to second-degree murder charges in 24th Judicial Court for Jefferson Parish, La., on Wednesday (March 6), according to a spokesperson for the court.
The rapper, younger brother of fellow rapper Master P, has "vehemently denied" the charges, which stem from the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Steve Thomas at the Platinum Club in Harvey, La., in January. C-Murder remains in custody at Jefferson Correctional Facility in Gretna, La., where he has yet to post a $1 million bail. The rapper faces life in prison without the possibility of parole if convicted on the charges. The next court date in the case has been set for April 15. The rapper also faces unrelated attempted first-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon charges stemming from an arrest last August.
