Biography
João Sérgio Batista Corrêa Filho born on November 24, 1982 in Cuiabá/MT. With a degree in Business Administration, he has been fascinated by music since he was a child and an unconditional fan of singer Tião Carreiro. When not touring he enjoys spending time with his family and writing. His songs move university audiences and travel from the romantic style to viola beats. His identification with music brings a serious and striking voice.
He began his artistic career in his hometown playing in bars and university concerts.
Formed with Hilton Cesar Serafim, o Capataz, the duo João Carreiro and Capataz. With him, in 2009, he released the CD “Os brus do sertanejo”, by Som Livre, which featured the following compositions of his authorship “Faculdade da Pinga”; "Disposable"; “I only know how to love you”; “Campo Grande / Cuiabá”; "Crocodile tears"; “Oi Nóis Travel”; “Xique Bacanizado”; “Black”; and “Caroline and João, in addition to “Tá Bagunçado, mas tem Gerência”, with Fernando, “O Remédio é Beber”, with João Lucas, “Bruto Rústico e Sistemático”, with Jadson, “Não Quero Mais”, with Capataz and Erik Head; “Mine is much bigger”, with Jadson and Silvio Rodrigues, and “What is it that we don't have?”, with Silvio Rodrigues.
Acting as a duo with Capataz, he became successful, especially with young and university audiences.
