Nashville, TN (Skyline Music Publishing) - Skyline Music Publishing has signed award-winning songwriter Hugh Prestwood to their roster. The agreement is a joint-venture between Skyline and Grammy-winning producer, Russ Titelman.

Prestwood has been writing hits for more than two decades. He has penned No 1 hits for Randy Travis ("Hard Rock Bottom Of Your Heart"), Trisha Yearwood ("The Song Remembers When"), Shenandoah ("Ghost In This House"), Crystal Gayle ("The Sound Of Goodbye"), and Collin Raye ("On The Verge"). Other artists who have recorded his songs include Conway Twitty, Lee Greenwood, Don Williams, Tanya Tucker, Jimmy Buffett, James Taylor and Jerry Douglas.

In 1991, Prestwood was honored at the annual BMI Awards with the Song Of The Year award for "Hard Rock Bottom Of Your Heart" and was also named Billboard Magazine's No 2 country songwriter of the year. In 1994, Prestwood won a Prime Time Emmy Award for "Outstanding Individual Achievement In Music And Lyrics" for his composition, "The Song Remembers When" that was featured in a Disney special.

Although Prestwood was born and raised in Texas, he currently resides in Long Island, NY and teaches advanced songwriting at The New School in Manhattan. Additionally, each year Prestwood teaches at NSAI songwriting workshops in various locations throughout the country.

Since opening their offices on Music Row in 2004, Skyline Music Publishing has scored hits by Rascal Flatts, Blake Shelton, Reba McEntire, Trisha Yearwood, Brooks & Dunn, Pat Green, Terri Clark, Craig Morgan, Aaron Tippin and more. The company celebrated their first number one single in 2005, with "A Real Fine Place To Start," recorded by Sara Evans.

Producer/songwriter, Russ Titelman has worked with some of rock ‘n roll's biggest names over the last three decades, including Randy Newman, Jimmy Buffett, George Harrison, the Bee Gees, Paul Simon, Brian Wilson, the Allman Brothers Band, Chaka Khan and many more. He earned a Grammy in 1986 for his work on Steve Winwood's smash hit "Higher Love," and picked up two more Grammy awards in 1992 for Eric Clapton's Unplugged CD, featuring the unforgettable single, "Tears In Heaven."
