NEW YORK (TVT Records) - The Atlanta-based kings of the club circuit, the Ying Yang
Twins have ridden their zany, cartoonish personas, signature "hahn" call-and-response, witty lyrics and Grade-A production to the top of the charts. On November 2, 2004, TVT Records will release the crunktastic CD/DVD combo, MY BROTHER & ME. The CD/DVD set will feature 10 new songs and sell alongside their platinum album, Me & My Brother, which was released a year ago and featured the hit singles "
Salt Shaker" and "Whats Happnin".
The CD/DVD set's lead single "Halftime (Stand Up & Get Crunk)", sports an injected guest shot from Homebwoi backed by an all-star marching band. MY BROTHER & ME will also include two hard-to-find tracks: "Salt Shaker (Extended Remix)" featuring Juvenile, Murphy Lee, Fat Joe, BG, Fat Man Scoop, Pitbull, and Jacki-O; Juvenile's "Slow Motion (Remix)" featuring Ying Yang Twins, Wyclef and UTP. In addition, there will be two other side collaborative recordings with Bone Crusher ("Take Ya Clothes Off") and Nick Cannon ("Get Crunk").
The bonus DVD component offers the Ying Yang Twins performances on WB's Pepsi Smash, 2004 BET Awards, BET's 106 & Park and their appearance on MTV's CRIBS. The DVD also features the entire Ying Yang Twins' TVT video catalog from "Naggin" to "Whats Happenin".
Ying Yang Twins have been nominated for two Source Awards (Artists of the Year – Group and Single of the Year – Collaboration) and one American Music Award (Favorite Band, Duo or Group - Rap/Hip-Hop). MY BROTHER & ME is one of the many upcoming releases from TVT Records. Currently in stores: hip-hop super-group, 213 (comprised of Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Nate Dogg), hip-hop soul songstress Teedra Moses and Cuban-American lyricist Pitbull.
