Lo.Lux Release New LP Record 'Avino'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The East Coast hip hop crew known as Lo.Lux have released their latest LP record album, "Avino." The album is comprised of 13 original tracks for an approximate total listening time of 40 minutes. "Avino" is the first LP record to appear on the official Lo.Lux website, and represents their most significant official release since their "Mario" EP, preceded by a collection of seven mixes simply titled, "Instrumentals."

Lo.Lux cite as main artistic influences the Wu-Tang Clan, Clipse, Kanye West, Nas, and the Three6Mafia. With hooks like Wu-Tang's and rhymes like Kanye's early material, Lo.Lux have already proven themselves to be strikingly creative writers and remarkably intuitive producers of hip hop music. Tracks on "Avino" such as the unstoppable third track, "456," have a panache that is all their own.

Lo.Lux's mixes on the "Avino" LP show a wide variety of styles. From the old-school, live-drums groove of "The South" (Track 5) to the 808s and 909s sound of "Game of Thrones" and "Experimental" (Tracks 7, 8) to the more complex and electronic tones of "Fear" and "Bands 'n' Girls" (Tracks 8, 13), Lo.Lux's music has a little something from nearly every area of hip hop and drum 'n' bass, and from other genres of music as well.

Asked to comment on the themes inherent on "Avino," Lo.Lux write simply that, "It's OK to question yourself sometimes…"

Nevertheless, few questions remain after a complete listen of "Avino." Stylish, crisp and cool, the album manages to be both intelligent and relaxed, cruising yet declarative. A record capable of intriguing both the casual listener and the dedicated audiophile, Lo.Lux's "Avino" can be listened to in nearly every conceivable circumstance, but lends itself especially to a mellow atmosphere where its subtleties can be enjoyed without raucous interruption.

"Avino" by Lo.Lux is available online worldwide (links provided below). Get in early.
