Blue Note Signs Vintage Trouble
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Blue Note Records) Blue Note Records has signed acclaimed indie rock and soul outfit Vintage Trouble. The Los Angeles-based band will be entering the studio shortly to begin work on its Blue Note debut. Vintage Trouble will also be performing at numerous festivals in the coming months, including Bonnaroo.

"It's so cool to have Vintage Trouble on Blue Note!" said Blue Note Records President Don Was. "I went to see them play at the El Rey Theater a few months ago...there were lines around the block and tickets were sold out based solely on word-of-mouth. They played a two hour show...half of the songs were brand new and totally unfamiliar to the audience...yet the place was rocking from the first notes straight through to the final encore...do you know how hard it is for a new band to pull that off?? It requires tremendous charisma, thundering power, incredible grooves and top notch songwriting...Vintage Trouble has it all going on!"

"We are so excited to be joining a music family that is known for its depth, sincerity, excellence, style, timelessness, and class," said Vintage Trouble. "Our roots and inspiration are steeped in the musical traditions that Blue Note Records has always cultivated and that are the foundation for American music as we know it today. We could not ask for a better house to share creative endeavors with and we want to thank Don Was and the entire Blue Note family for welcoming us with such open hearts, souls, and minds."

"From the first time I saw Vintage Trouble I knew that they had something special. They have a soul and an independent spirit that I felt was sorely lacking in the current climate. We've implemented and maintained that credo since day one," observed Vintage Trouble's manager, Doc McGhee, CEO of McGhee Entertainment Inc. "Now, we are delighted to join forces with Don Was and the Blue Note team who have exemplified that same spirit throughout their musical history. I look forward to working together to take Vintage Trouble to the next level of their career and beyond."

Vintage Trouble - comprising Ty Taylor (vocals), Nalle Colt (guitar), Richard Danielson (drums) and Rick Barrio Dill (bass) - combine badass chops with an unparalleled work ethic. The band got its start playing residencies at Los Angeles area clubs and word-of-mouth soon spread internationally thanks to a devoted group of fans that dubbed themselves "TroubleMakers." Since self-releasing their debut album, The Bomb Shelter Sessions, in 2011, Vintage Trouble has played upwards of 350 shows throughout the US, UK, Europe, Australia and Japan - from intimate venues like Harvelle's in Santa Monica, CA to big rooms opening for Lenny Kravitz and Joss Stone, from festivals like Coachella, Glastonbury and Rock In Rio to arenas opening for The Rolling Stones, The Who, KISS and Bon Jovi.

"Like an M-80 in church, Vintage Trouble lands with a hiss and then blows apart what's come to define modern soul, blues and rock," observed Paste Magazine while Yahoo! Music said, "imagine James Brown singing lead for Led Zeppelin and you'll get an idea of Vintage Trouble's muscular, in the pocket sound." "Like Otis Redding, Vintage Trouble makes music that is a little bit of everything...you can slow dance, groove, rock and let it all go," noted The New York Times.
