Artemis Records to release new album by Australian rock superstars Powderfinger; 'Vulture Street' due out November 9th

NEW YORK (Artemis Records) - On November 9th, Artemis Records will release Australian supergroup Powderfinger's latest album, VULTURE STREET. Released in Australia earlier this year, the album won 4 ARIA awards (the Australian equivalent to the Grammy) for Album of the Year, Best Rock Album, Best Group and Best Cover Art, respectively. VULTURE STREET was produced by Nick DiDia (Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, Offspring) and mixed by Brendan O'Brien (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Neil Young, Rage Against The Machine).
The first single from the album, "(Baby I've Got You) On My Mind", will be shipping to radio in October.

Powderfinger are the most successful Australian rock band of the last decade, selling over 1.4 million albums in Australia alone to date. The band formed a decade ago in Brisbane, Australia and have released 5 studio albums and 3 EPs to date. They have had their albums released all over the world with critical acclaim in many European Territories. 2000's ODYSSEY NO. 5 was the only previous studio album released in the United States. Powderfinger are Jon Coghill, John Collins, Bernard Fanning, Ian Haug and Darren Middleton.
