New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ YB official website) The biggest and most successful hard rock band in Korea, YB, are set to send their music across the Pacific as they just launched their first English-language single, "Cigarette Girl" in the US and UK on February 18, with its accompanying video premiering exclusively online with Revolver (US) and Total Rock (UK) on February 25. The video will be available to the general public on February 27.
"It's a simple, but smart song," explains charismatic front man Do-Hyun. "There's plenty of humor, love and many different emotions expressed. It's got a great deal of energy and it's written in a way that we can mess with it in the middle when we play it live."
The band is managed by prolific music manager Doug Goldstein, who handled the career of Guns N' Roses for almost two decades, as well as Danzig, Blind Melon and many others.
This year, YB have set their sights on translating their massive Korean popularity-where they are on the level of Guns 'N Roses or Bon Jovi-into a worldwide phenomenon. The high octane single, "Cigarette Girl", an ode to a beauty who was too hot to handle for the band, is the perfect introduction to this exciting journey.
