This booming EP made Davey Star a featured artist on DMV Life as "Top DMV Artist". The craft of his music is unique, put together through hard work and creativity. His songs are danceable and catchy and will have listeners hooked from the very first note. The EP delivers a strong set of songs, from "Rule the World" that tells the story of hard work and dedication to songs like "Wine & Dine" and "On My Grind" that reminds one of early Chris Brown, while "

Trey Songz music. Davey Star is young but has a talent that will mesmerize with his skills as an artist.
Davey was born and raised in Franklin, Virginia, a small town of only 2500 people Davey knew from a young age that he wanted to be a star. Learning from his mother how to sing and appreciate music, Davey learned to sing like some of the greats in the likes of Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, Stevie Wonder, and Luther Vandross. His sound also has some flavor of new artists such as Trey Songz, Chris Brown, Usher, and Jamie Foxx. Davey just didn't pick up singing naturally; he also picked up some rap skills.
Davey is deaf in his left ear which would stop people from pursuing their dreams but this only made Davey focused on how to prefect his craft. Even though he is hearing impaired, Davey believes in saying "God takes one thing from a person, but blesses them with a gift!" and Davey is certainly blessed. He dreams of becoming part of the heavy weight rappers of this generation. His music is dedicated, unique, and cunning. He focuses majority of his time to his music and writes whenever he can. His dedication to his music is what sets him apart from his fellow musicians from his area. Davey is certainly an artist to look out for and he certainly will, in time, be on center stage.
