NEW YORK (Wyclef Jean Fans Website) - The weekend concert event at New York City's Fort Greene neighborhood dubbed Block Party, will appear as a concert film and documentary. The event was conceived by comedian Dave Chappelle and director Michel Gondry captured the event featuring performances by the Roots, Talib Kweli, Kanye West, Jill Scott and the reunited Fugees for a concert film and documentary due out next year. While Lauryn Hill was initially announced as one of the event's performers, reports surfaced that Pras and Wyclef Jean were scheduled to join Hill to headline, hours before the show started. Speculations were later put to rest when Hill walked on stage during Clef's performance. The group went through a series of old favorites including L. Boogie's "Lost Ones," which is believed to be directed towards Clef. Other performers at the block party included Common, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Kanye West, Boot Camp Click and The Roots who brought out golden school era rapers Kool G. Rap and Big Daddy Kane.
