Music For Relief Raises Over $500K For Survivors Of Typhoon Haiyan
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Music for Relief) Music For Relief has raised over $500,000.00 for the survivors of Typhoon Haiyan, through proceeds from their recent Concert For the Philippines and online auction, featuring performances by Linkin Park, The Offspring, Bad Religion, Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart, The Filharmonic, Travis Barker and Mike Einziger of Incubus.

Funds raised will go to International Medical Corps to help provide immediate relief to the 15 million people who have been impacted by the storm, which caused flooding, landslides and massive destruction. International Medical Corps' teams in the Philippines are delivering critical medicines and health services, with an emphasis on water, sanitation and hygiene, disease prevention, nutrition, and mental health.

Supporters of Music For Relief were asked to raise or donate a minimum of $250 to attend the intimate concert at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. Funds were also raised through an online auction made possible with the collaboration of Alice In Chains & Friends Fantasy Football 2013. The auction consisted of rare and collectible items including original oil paintings by Alice In Chains vocalist/guitarist, Jerry Cantrell, a custom Les Paul guitar signed by Billy Joe Armstrong of Green Day, and a trip for two to New York City to attend a fall the Porsche Design Runway Show with Linkin Park's Chester Bennington.

MUSIC FOR RELIEF CONCERT FOR THE PHILIPPINES will air on AXS TV Saturday Feb. 15 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. The concert will also be available on demand on the Music for Relief YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/MusicForRelief
