The spectacular live performance from the Grammy Award-Winning, multi-platinum selling artist is scheduled for release on home video and DVD on November 19.
Shot on high-definition video July 11, 2002 during his critically acclaimed "Evolution 8701 Tour" in Orlando, Florida, Usher: Evolution 8701-Live In Concert captures the newly crowned "Mr. Entertainment" performing amidst a hail of pyrotechnics, smoke, maxi-screen video images and backup dancers. The DVD would not be complete without Usher's slick dance moves and the tightly choreographed numbers.
This past year alone has been an incredible year for Usher. Spawning several No 1 hit singles, a GRAMMY Award for Best R&B Male Vocal and countless other awards for his 8701 album (released in 2001), Usher has proven he's a world class entertainer.
Executive Produced by Eagle Rock Entertainment as well as Usher and his management, Jonnetta Patton of JPAT Management, and under the superb direction of the notable Hamish Hamilton (HBO's Madonna Drowned Tour, NBC's Jennifer Lopez In Concert, U2 Elevation Tour 2001 and Brit Awards), Usher ignites the stage with hit songs like "Nice & Slow" and "You Make Me Wanna" from his 1997 My Way album and his recent album 8701 including this year's No 1 smashes, "U Got It Bad," "U Remind Me" and "U Don't Have To Call."
Bonus material for Usher: Evolution 8701-Live In Concert features a photo gallery plus exclusive footage of Usher performing "U Don't Have To Call" in an empty 10,000 seat venue without lighting or effects – just Usher singing from the heart in a personal and intimate setting.
"Putting the 'Evolution 8701 Tour' together was an amazing experience," says Usher. This tour allowed me to share a lot of great moments with my fans. I feel like I've accomplished so much already, but I still have so much to give. This is still just the beginning." Log on to www.usherworld.com
