RIAA Expresses Support For Bipartisan Congressional Trade Priorities Act Of 2014
Washington, DC (Top40 Charts/ RIAA) Senators Hatch and Baucus and Congressman Camp recently introduced the Bipartisan Congressional Trade Priorities Act of 2014 that will extend Trade Promotion Authority to give direction to the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) so that it can effectively negotiate trade agreements that will expand opportunities in foreign markets for U.S. companies and promote job expansion. Cary Sherman, CEO of RIAA, issued the following statement:

"We thank Senator Baucus, Senator Hatch and Congressman Camp for their leadership in producing a bipartisan bill that will permit USTR to reach trade agreements that expand U.S. competitiveness. The U.S. is the world leader in the production of creative goods and services, and our ability to preserve and promote these key assets is central to our economy and our culture. The carefully crafted and balanced legislation introduced yesterday will help to advance Administration efforts to open foreign markets by reducing market access barriers, thereby expanding jobs and strengthening U.S. creativity. We hope it will be quickly adopted by Congress."
