BBD Releases New LP 'Road Trip'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The rapper from California's Bay Area known as BBD has released his debut LP album, titled, "Road Trip." The album is the most significant official release from BBD since the successful release of his mixtape, "Respect Before Success," which was published on the NVS Entertainment music label in November of 2012. Already highly anticipated by an enormous cadre of BBD fans, "Road Trip" is widely expected to solidify BBD's name in the global underground of hip hop and prove once and for all that you can't keep a good rapper down.

BBD (Big Black Dog) is the stage name of Clifford Steven Laforet. He cites as main artistic influences such artists as Eminem, Tupac Shakur, Lauryn Hill, E-40, Mac Dre, Ice Cube, Nas, Zion I, Nate Dogg, Micheal Jackson, Aaliyah, Bone Thugs N' Harmony, Tech N9ne, Lecrae, Dr. Dre, DMX, DJ Quik, Geto Boys, Rick Rock, Traxamillion, Mistah Fab, and Too Short. Of these BBD's style shifts between the quickly-spat rhymes of Marshall Mathers and the groovier, heavier lines of 'Pac.

"I first started getting involved with music when I moved to Florida in 8th grade," BBD writes. "Where I was at had a huge music scene. I couldn't play ball at school because I got kicked out and put on probation, so I started writing to pass time and express myself."

That BBD's hip hop is popular is undisputed. His first track, unofficially released as an amateur, was called "The One Verse Cypher" and featured the talents of Sparks. BBD shared the cut with no more than three friends on Facebook. Within weeks this had grown to over 500 shares on the same network.

BBD's lyrical talent is obvious, and his reputation for penning sharp phrases and witty songs is well deserved.

"My music always has a message to it," he comments with regard to his new record. "'Road Trip' is about living free and being in this state of mind away from your problems. 'Road Trip' is about being in the moment, a trip to personal excellence, really."

"Road Trip" is also about transcendence, one's capacity for self-molding and self-awareness.

BBD writes of this, "From another perspective, the 'Road Trip' is to success. The power's in your hand to succeed because man was made to be a champion. Knowing this brings progress to your personal excellence."

"Road Trip" by BBD is available online worldwide beginning 7 December 2013. Be sure to check out his previous releases, also.

The LP "Road Trip" is distributed globally by MondoTunes (www.MondoTunes.com) and is available at iTunes or www.top40-charts.com for convenient purchase and download.
