New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Propelled by the reception to its latest album "I Am Mountain," the atmospheric indie band Gungor (rhymes with "hunger") continued its 2013 momentum with a sold-out show at the famed B.B. Kings's Blues Club in New York City, as well as a partnership with Bono's ONE Campaign for the bulk of the group's tour dates.
The Denver-based band, which has drawn comparisons to Arcade Fire, Sufjan Stevens and Bon Iver (USA Today) with a "sweeping, cinematic pop-folk sound" (American Songwriter) has also been announced as an early band confirmed for next year's South by Southwest Music Festival, March 11-16 in Austin, Texas.
Gungor's teaming with the ONE Campaign for the 60+ city "I Am Mountain" tour reflects a the band's humanitarian leanings by offering fans an inside look at issues challenging those in developing world countries.
