NASHVILLE, TN. (AristoMedia/ www.aristomedia.com) - Royal Wade Kimes recently made an appearance at Cape Girardo's station KWKZ where his new album Cowboy Cool was getting significant play. After listening to the traditional country sound of Kimes' music, the switchboard lit up with listeners wanting to hear more of what Kimes had to offer. "We had such an overwhelming response from our listeners," station owner Bill Anderson said. "Everyone wanted to know how to get copies of Royal Wade Kimes' album." "Including a motorcycle rider, a rodeo clown and a woman with a 30-lb cat," Kimes mentioned. "They were all listeners of KWKZ and now, apparently, new fans of mine." Program Director Susan Bell added, "Wade was very well-received by our audience; he is one of the top talents out there." "Wade was such a hit at the radio station that we asked him to make a guest appearance at the rodeo that evening and sign autographs for his new fans," Anderson continued. It was at the Boothill Rodeo in Sikeston, MO, viewed as one of the top 10 rodeos in the country, where Kimes was able to see the impact his traditional country sound had made on the community. "I think Wade was overwhelmed by the number of people who stood in line to get his autograph," Anderson remarked. "He is such a great artist and person … the type of person you would want to have as your neighbor and I think his fans see that in him." Kimes' single "Feelin' Stud" from his new album Cowboy Cool will be released on September 9.
