Returning to the island country for its 17 th year, the popular event brings together music aficionados, beach bums, foodies and nature lovers from around the world to celebrate international Latin Jazz musicians.
From Oct. 31-Nov. 3 , the island resonates with hybrid Jazz and traditional Dominican Merengue soul. Visitors are invited to this free festival to enjoy rich island culture and gastronomy among breathtaking scenery, while dancing the night away wrapped in the island breeze.
"The Jazz Festival is the largest free cultural event in Dominican Republic ," says Magaly Toribio , Marketing Advisor for the Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism. In addition to supporting the country's historical musical roots, the festival works to bring music education to the region's youth. Affiliated with FEDUJAZZ and local non-profits, the world-renowned musicians performing at the festival will lead student workshops to educate aspiring Jazz artists.
