Switchfoot travels overseas, names new US Radio single

BRENTWOOD, TN. (Sparrow Records) - The band heads to Europe and Australia for a series of concerts September 10 – 22.

With its breakthrough hit 'Meant To Live' finding an even wider audience as a featured cut on the international version of the Spiderman 2 soundtrack, Switchfoot heads to Europe and Australia for a series of concerts September 10 – 22.

Among the tour dates in support of Switchfoot's platinum album, THE BEAUTIFUL LETDOWN, are three shows with Alter Bridge, featuring three original members of Creed, to be held in Berlin, Amsterdam, and London.

Back in the United States, Switchfoot will begin another major tour in October, just following the release of a new single from THE BEAUTIFUL LETDOWN. 'This Is Your Life' goes out to Christian radio stations September 17 and to Mainstream Alternative Rock radio September 21, even as previous single, 'Dare You To Move,' continues to climb various playlists in both sectors.

Also this fall, fans who first heard the band via 'Meant To Live,' a major MTV hit, can pick up Switchfoot's stellar back catalog when Sparrow Records re-issues it as one 3-CD set on November 2. Comprising THE LEGEND OF CHIN (1997), NEW WAY TO BE HUMAN (1999), and LEARNING TO BREATHE (2000), the set includes 32 tracks, each disc's original artwork, and nearly two hours of music.

A limited edition of THE BEAUTIFUL LETDOWN, featuring a bonus DVD and sticker, is also still available, but going fast.
