Shawn Lane Memorial Draws Worldwide Attendance To Memphis
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Eric Gales official website) 4 day festival headlined by global talent to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House
What started out as a Memphis Venue remembering one of its most beloved guitar players on the 10 year anniversary of his passing, has now become the proverbial Pandora's box that seems to be missing it's lid. Performers are coming in from as far as Italy, Brazil and the UK not only to celebrate the memory of Shawn Lane, but also to help raise money for the Ronald McDonald House in his honor. The 4 day festival will be hosted by Newby's on Highland this September 26th through the 29th.

Eric Gales, another guitar prodigy from Memphis, will be headlining the first night in the theater, along with fellow Shrapnel Records artist, Craig Erickson. The second night brings in a NY band called Consider the Source, an act reminiscent of the Hellborg/Lane/Sipe Trio. Fareed Haque, formerly of Sting's touring band and Garajmahal (which featured former members of Shawn Lane's band) is scheduled to perform on night three. Each night will showcase at least one international guitar player who has traveled abroad for the chance to honor Shawn's influence and to meet his family. Shawn's sister, Tina Lane, and his niece, Lexy Jade, are also scheduled to perform. The festival wraps up on Sunday the 29th, with a free jam for all to attend. This jam is open to the public, in which any musician is welcome to play on the stage. Films of Shawn Lane will be played on the big screen projector, along with exclusive audio and video provided by Mike Varney, CEO of Shrapnel Records. Mr. Varney was the first to publish Shawn Lane's music professionally. Silent auctions will be held for items donated by the event's sponsors including Yarbrough's Music, Inc. and Vigier Guitars.

The charge for admission is $10 a day for the first three days, or $20 for a full 4-day pass. Tickets can be purchased online, with NO SERVICE CHARGES ADDED, at: NEWBY'S MEMPHIS >>> Copy & Paste into New Browser Window: https://bit.ly/181qnYS
