MAJ Releases New Single 'Grenade'

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The Browns Town Music artist known as MAJ has released his latest single dance track, "Grenade." The track has been released on the quickly rising Browns Town Music LLC record label. A heated, vibrant house song with a pounding back beat and engaging vocals by MAJ himself, "Grenade" stands as further proof that Browns Town Music knows how to pick them, and that this talented, energetic rapper has much in store for fans of hip hop all over the world. MAJ cites as main artistic influences the likes of legends such as Bone Thugs 'n' Harmony, Nas, The Notorious B.I.G., Tupac Shakur, Ludacris, Twista, Eminem, Big L, and Kriss Kross. Still, his original impetus toward writing, performing, and recording music came from closer to home.

"When I was a youth," he writes, "I used to listen to a lot of hip hop via my sister. Growing up, that influenced my career path of choosing to do music."

His other inspirations are more personal, such as the message and meaning his music communicates to the listening public at large.

"[My song 'Grenade' describes] the vibe that I am feeling," says MAJ. "I run with it. Having a good positive vibe about life and the struggles I go through is what I share with the listeners and new fans every day."

MAJ grew up on the streets of South London. His knack for urban poetry and performing rap appeared when he was at secondary school. He polished this talent by rapping with (and in competition against) his friends. His stage name, MAJ, is both an abbreviation of 'magic' and an acronym for, "Man Ain't Jokin'."
