New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) The votes are in for the best Umphrey's McGee live performances of 2012, and the Chicago-based sextet is readying its fourth-annual 'Hall of Fame' album accordingly. "Expanding the notion of what a rock band can offer" (Time.com), UM is partnering with PledgeMusic to distribute 'Hall of Fame: Class of 2012' in an unprecedented number of formats.
Purchase options begin with a download ($10-$18, depending on quality) and double LP split-color vinyl ($35). Via PledgeMusic, fans can pledge for an autographed, personalized setlist ($30) and a mixed-color vinyl test pressing ($60, includes regular LP). For $125, a fan's band member of choice will create a customized jacket for his or her test pressing. Lead guitarist Jake Cinninger will visit his local record shop and pick out a range of vinyl for a fan who pledges $199. For $500, a fan will get to introduce UM at the show of his or her choice during the band's fall tour. And for $2,000, a fan can secure a spot on UM's guest list for every show and festival appearance for the next year, including plus-ones for five shows and after-show passes for one show.
In addition to the wide range of formats, UM is giving fans who pledge at all levels access to exclusive content for a behind-the-scenes look at the making of 'Hall of Fame': videos, photos and audio of the album being edited and mastered, vinyl being pressed, and members customizing LP sleeves.
A portion of the proceeds from 'Hall of Fame' will benefit MUSC Children's Hospital, South Carolina's largest pediatric center, which has provided healthcare for several of UM members' babies.
