New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ MT Press) The Sea and Smoke Tour is a celebration of women in music, featuring three of Los Angeles brightest rising stars across multiple genres; Liz Wood, La Mer and Rachel McGoye. Kicking off on August 17th at the iconic Hotel Café in Los Angeles, this intimate venue speaks to the honest and authentic music made by each one of these talented artists, and will be the show that sets the tone for what's to come throughout the month of August. The tour will wind along the west coast, hitting all the major markets including San Francisco and Seattle, giving music fans a chance to discover and immerse themselves in the dynamic sounds of each artist. Featuring a wide variety of genres from pop to folk to country, each artist has a deeply emotional knack for songwriting that draws their listeners in until the final note rings. Kicking off in Los Angeles at The Hotel Café on August 17th, The Sea and Smoke Tour is the ultimate expression of creativity and undeniably musicianship that's not to be missed.
Liz Wood is a Los Angeles based singer/songwriter with two EP's under her belt, including the critically acclaimed "Into My Own." With influences that span iconic and eclectic performers and songwriters such as
Bob Dylan and Janis Joplin, she is an honest songwriter that pulls detailed stories from within herself and brings them to life effortlessly in melodic form. She approaches each musical endeavor with a fearlessness, allowing her heart and soul to be on display in both recordings and live performances. Her new EP "Small Voices" is due out early next year.
A born singer/songwriter La Mer is ever the artistic gypsy. With a background in theater she spent years performing in New York City, traveling Spain, and writing, recording, and touring with New Orleans based band "The Mumbles." Finally settling down in Brooklyn gave her the opportunity to find her own voice and master the art of songwriting, leading to the creation of her uniquely vulnerable sound and beautiful storytelling. Her awe-inspiring debut EP "Anchor Baby" came out in June of 2013.
After a recent move to Nashville, Rachel McGoye has spent a life time taking her experiences and travels and weaving them into alternative pop hits. She's worked with a variety of music industry professionals like Steve
Harvey and Alex Band, not to mention her touring from coast to coast, including a stint with American Idol alum Kellie Pickler. Her deeply soulful voice, ample attitude, and effortlessly authentic songwriting are what draw fans to her within seconds of their first listen. She's currently just finished working on her new EP "Patchwork" with the help of a wildly successful KickStarter campaign!
