Alejandro Sanz Meets Berklee
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ 'LA'Ritmo) As part of the Signature Music Series, Berklee will present Alejandro Sanz an honorary degree at a special show on Wednesday, November 6th at 8:15pm featuring the Spanish superstar alongside a 40-piece Berklee student ensemble. Sanz' new album 'La Música No Se Toca' is one of 2013's best-selling albums and has produced three consecutive No. 1 singles in Spain, Latin America, and the U.S. Sanz has won a total of three Grammy Awards and 16 Latin Grammy Awards, including three Latin Grammy Album of the Year Awards, a distinction no other artist can claim for that category. Tickets are $18 in advance (discount applied at check out), $24 day of show, reserved seating.

The Signature Music Series at Berklee takes place at the Berklee Performance Center, 136 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston. Spanish pop superstar Alejandro Sanz holds the record for most Latin Grammy Awards for "Album of the Year." Considered the most commercially successful Spanish singer of all time, Sanz is sure to enthrall the audience at the Berklee Performance Center with his romantic blend of flamenco-influenced ballads. He will perform arrangements by Berklee students and will be joined in this performance by a large ensemble of Berklee students. The concert will be produced by Oscar Stagnaro with Matthew Nicholl as musical director.

Berklee's Javier Limon, artistic director of the Mediterranean Music Institute, has long been a friend to and collaborator with Sanz. Last semester, Berklee students in Limon's Songwriting in Spanish course were invited to produce a video of the Spanish sensation's hit song, "La Música No Se Toca ," which you can view here:
