LOS ANGELES (www.ronniewood.com) - Legendary guitarist/artist RONNIE WOOD made a splash in Los Angeles this past week as he brought new paintings-and his guitar-to the U.S. for a few select appearances. It began Friday night (8/27), when RONNIE joined Toots & The Maytals onstage at the Greek Theatre for three songs, including Toots' classic "Pressure Drop." On Saturday (8/28), RONNIE attended a private reception at the 319 Gallery in Santa Monica which featured the Rolling Stones guitarist's newest work, "Mick On Harmonica." Friends on hand to check out RONNIE's paintings, drawings and sculptures included Anthony Kiedis, Gina Gershon, Grace Slick, the Stray Cats' Slim Jim Phantom and heavyweight boxer Wladimir Klitchko. RONNIE capped the festivities off with a performance with his friend and former bandmate Rod Stewart Monday night (8/30) at the Hollywood Bowl. RONNIE and Rod-friends since their days in the Jeff Beck Group and The Faces - thrilled the crowd with songs including "Stay With Me," "Ooh La La," "I Know I'm Losing You," "I'd Rather Go Blind," "Every Picture Tells A Story," "Maggie May" and "You Wear It Well." Next up for RONNIE: traveling with his artwork for exhibitions in San Francisco, Las Vegas and New York.
