Grammy Award winning artists join iHoopla Store on eBay

SAN JOSE, CA. (iHoopla Music/ https://stores.ebay.com/iHoopla) - iHoopla Music, an artist-direct digital download music store for independent artists and their fans, today announced that eBay will offer iHoopla's digital music content as part of eBay's six-month pilot program focused on digital music downloads.

iHoopla is the only online music store that offers independent musicians and labels the convenience of Internet distribution with the protection of Digital Rights Management. The company is participating in the pilot because iHoopla technology enables the 114 million eBay community members to sell and buy digital music.
"iHoopla on eBay levels the playing field, allowing independent artists to reach the largest global marketplace possible," said David G. de Valk, iHoopla cofounder.
"We are delighted that eBay is taking this step and that we are part of this trial," said John Peterson, iHoopla cofounder.

To kick off its new eBay store, the company announced a special promotion for musicians who sign with iHoopla between now and Sept. 30. The offer gives artists a one-year Silver service-level agreement for a single payment of only $99, paid in advance, vs. installments of $19.95 per month.
