LOS ANGELES (Shockorama/Vanguard) - The Shortlist Organization has chosen Austin singer/songwriter Bob Schneider's I'm Good Now (Shockorama/Vanguard) as one of their "Long List" nominees for the 2004 Shortlist Music Prize, as selected by a panel of 20 "Listmakers" including top recording artists and music journalists. The 10 finalists for the coveted award will be announced in late September, and the Prize will be awarded during a multi-artist concert at the Wiltern in Los Angeles on November 10th.

Ever the snarky and sardonic character, Schneider beamed poetic about the nomination.
"Getting this nomination means that I rock better than anybody who wasn't on the list," he snickers with tongue firmly planted in cheek. "It means that I am a better human being in every way compared to those who weren't chosen to be on the list."

Recently completing a national solo and acoustic swing-through supporting The BoDeans, Bob is gearing up for a soon-to-be-announced Fall tour (dates to be come shortly). In addition, the single "Captain Kirk" is ready to tackle radio and has already gotten added out of the box to the KSGR's playlist in Austin, TX. "Come With Me Tonight," his first album for I'm Good Now, was Top Ten hit on AAA Radio.
"I've been waiting for these motherf*ckers to come to their senses for years," he added. "I can't believe it took this f*cking long. That's really the only surprise to me, bitch! Excuse me. I'm going to see what's on the TiVo."
