Michael Maverick Releases New EP Record 'DyNasty City The EP'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) The artist of rap music known as Michael Maverick has released his newest EP record, titled "DyNasty City the EP." The EP is Maverick's most significant and highly awaited release since his LP album, "Set It Off." "DyNasty City the EP" is comprised of five new and original tracks from Maverick that continue to prove his prowess at the mic, as well as his skills in composing beats and melodies for a polished and heavy-hitting hip-hop record. Each of these new tracks, "All I Do (Is Work)," "Take It to the Top," "Levantate (Get Up)," "So Different," and the outro, "Never Alive," are singles in their own right, and have been made available by the artist from his own website as well as from other online outlets worldwide.

Having mastered several instruments in his youth and later being exposed to West Coast rap and Latin music, Michael Maverick now cites as main influences the likes of legends such as Tupac Shakur, DMX, 50 Cent, Big Pun, The Notorious B.I.G., Ice Cube, Big L, Wu Tang Clan, Pitbull, Dr. Dre, and Jay Z. Maverick's own sound reverberates with the best attributes of all these artists, but has strong Chicano overtones tempered with a San Diego / Los Angeles style.

Maverick's San Diego edge is no coincidence. In fact, the name of his new EP is a play on a street slander for National City, a greater San Diego area in which Maverick was raised, and which is sometimes called Nasty City or De Nasty City - therefore, "DyNasty City the EP" is a fitting title. His own moniker, "Maverick," denotes his knack for doing his thinking apart from the crowd.

Regarding the themes of his well penned rhymes and lines, Maverick writes, "My overall message is that with every painful situation, whether it be from your environment or something that someone has done to you, it comes with a lesson, and it is those very lessons that lead us into the path of success. Your higher calling, if you will. 'Struggle and strength' is 'cause and effect.'"

"DyNasty City the EP" is available online worldwide beginning early summer, 2013.

"DyNasty City the EP" is distributed globally by MondoTunes (www.MondoTunes.com) and is available at iTunes or www.top40-charts.com or convenient purchase and download.
