Paradox Please Releases New Record 'State Of Emergency EP'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Pittsburgh rock trio Paradox Please has released their new flagship extended-play record, "State of Emergency EP." The album is comprised of four original tracks for a total playing time of approximately 16 minutes. A pounding, driving, powerhouse little record from these quickly rising titans of alt rock, the "State of Emergency EP" serves as an excellent introduction to the unique, East-Coast sound and style of Paradox Please.

Paradox Please cites as main artistic influences the likes of Muse, Silversun Pickups, Queens of the Stone Age, and Rage Against the Machine, attributes of which artists appear variously in Paradox's own sound. Their "State of Emergency EP" has complex, wall-of-sound fullness that is extremely unusual for a three-piece band. Their tone is full of passion and adrenaline, and heavy on percussion (very heavy). Their song structures are gilt with harmonic, soaring guitar work and prominent, active bass lines. Fans of bands such as 30 Seconds to Mars and Muse will be well pleased with this early set, and particularly if the listener is fortunate enough to attend one of their infamous live performances.

Speaking of how they arrived at their style of alt rock, Paradox writes, "We really wanted to make something new sounding and fresh." Their early material succeeds by utilizing intelligent lyrics on top of fast-paced, widely varied chord progressions. Their attitude towards innovation extends into the themes explored in their songs, too. "There are a lot of messages shared in our music," they write of this, "the primary message being to find your own personal truths in the world and realize your full potential."

Paradox Please is guitarist/vocalist James Beswick, bassist Brittany Glitsch, and drummer Chad Leonberg. They are winners in the Best Alternative Rock Band and Best Alternative Rock Music Video categories at the Pittsburgh Rock Music Awards for their single and video, "Singularity."

Their "State of Emergency EP" is available online worldwide summer, 2013.

The album "State of Emergency EP" is distributed globally by MondoTunes (www.MondoTunes.com) and is available at iTunes or www.top40-charts.com for convenient purchase and download.
