New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Mercenary Publicity) FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH have revealed the artwork for the first of their two new studio albums, The Wrong Side Of Heaven And The Righteous Side Of Hell Volume 1 available on July 29th through Eleven Seven.
The album artwork was conceived by comic book artist and illustrator Greg Capullo, known for his work on Batman, Spawn, X Force and Gunslinger. Says guitarist Zoltan Bathory: "The album artwork was done by one of my favourite illustrators, Greg Capullo, the "Dark Lord" of ink-splattered violence. Greg is a metalhead and he is funny as hell so it was riot working with him…"
The lead single from the album 'Lift Me Up' (featuring ROB HALFORD of JUDAS PRIEST) catapulted to the #1 most shared song on Spotify upon release. The band also enjoyed their highest chart debut at active rock radio in the US with the track debuting at #18, rising to its current position at #8. Check it out here:
As well as a standard CD The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell Vol 1 comes as a deluxe package with a bonus 15-track live CD, Purgatory (Tales From The Pit), alongside the 14 songs featured on the album, and will be available for pre-order via iTunes on June 18th. This release will be accompanied by a redeemable limited edition t-shirt with the physical pressing only.
This month, Five Finger Death Punch return to Europe for a tour of major festivals including the U.K.'s Download Festival at Donington Park where they play the main stage on 16th June,
concluding the run with a performance at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Ceremony in London.
Upon the band's return to the US, the band will co-headline the 2013 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival alongside ROB ZOMBIE, kicking off in San Bernadino, CA at the San Manuel Amphitheatre on June 29th.
