Brandon Townsend aka Durt Boi hails from Memphis, Tennessee and is known for his grimey delivery and catchy hooks. Growing up in the southside of the city in the rough Riverside Community, he had to overcome many hardships including his father receiving a life prison sentence when he was nine years old. After graduating high school, he joined the military where he discovered his passion for writing music.



Using writing as a way to express his feelings about his childhood and experiences in the military, Durt Boi began to take his passion more serious. After serving a tour in Iraq, he started a rap group with two other soliders while stationed at Ft. Lewis in Seattle. The Durty Boiz created a buzz for themselves in the Northwest with the release of two albums.

After leaving the military, Durt Boi returned to Memphis and began his solo career with C&N Management & Marketing. He is making a name for himself in the Memphis music scene. To date, he has opened up for many artists including Too Short, Devin tha Dude, 8 Ball and MJG, Young Buck and more. Durt Boi has also been featured in Street Scenes Magazine and received "Artist of the Year Award" at the 2011 Jackson Music Awards.
