LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Sticky Toffee PR) Hailing from south London, D-Kel is of Colombian & Irish heritage. He grew up listening to many types of music, from the hardcore Grime and Hip-Hop he heard in the school playground to the tropical sounds of Reggaeton, Salsa, & Bachata he heard on trips to Colombia.

D-Kel has performed at various nightclub and showcase events around London (SE1, Bar Salsa, The Arches, Monto Water Rats, Oxjam Festival 2011) and also Europe's biggest Latin-American event "Carnaval Del Pueblo" (2007, 2009 & 2010). He has received radio airplay in Uruguay, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic, as well as releasing a Spanish-geared mixtape and opening up for multi-album selling International Reggaeton veterans "Trebol Clan". In 2010, D-Kel became interested in developing a new crossover sound. This adventure resulted in shooting his first music video, 'Crazy', a Dance/Reggaeton bilingual song produced by up and coming producer James Barr. After gaining recognition from this video, D-Kel continued to perform around London, developing a strong working relationship with James Barr, with whom he continues to work on the majority of his music.

D-Kel now presents his brand new EP 'The Vibe', featuring 10 fantastically soulful, original cuts. Combining unique, polished production with his relaxed, smooth vocal delivery, 'The Vibe' is a perfect soundtrack to those hot British summer days.
