Listen Beck's New Single, "Defriended"

New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Beck just released the single "Defriended." This fuzzed-out electronic ode to digital media is anything but acoustic.

The acoustic album will be a "a self-contained work," he said in a media statement. Rolling Stone cited a friend of the singer, who said Beck also will release a "proper follow-up" to his lauded 2008 album "Modern Guilt."

"Defriended" is a bundle of booming energy pattered up in syncopated percussion, warbled vocals and synthy blips, and according to Rolling Stone, fans can expect another standalone single sometime before Beck delivers the two LPs. Listen to the track below:
