LOS ANGELES (Maverick Records) -
Maverick recording artists Tantric will be starting their fall headlining tour at the end of August in support of their second album, After We Go. The band, who have spent the past few months touring with the likes of Fuel and Staind, will begin their tour in Cleveland, OH and will play 24 dates throughout the Southern, Midwestern and Eastern parts of the U.S. Also, on the television front, Tantric's stunning rendition of the
Fleetwood Mac classic, "The Chain," is being featured on promos for HBO's new fall series Family Bonds.
The HBO series is about the Evangelista family, who are like any other hard-working American family but with one major difference; they're bail bondsman and bounty hunters. The series will debut on HBO on Sunday,
September 19th at 10pm.
From their beginnings in Louisville, Kentucky, to the global success of 2001's self-titled debut, Tantric have established themselves as a vital new voice in modern rock. Emerging from the ashes of Days of the New, Tantric went on to score critical acclaim and an ever-expanding fan base by blending creamy acoustic middles with crunchy guitar exteriors and lush vocal harmonies. Fueled by smash hit single "Breakdown" (which shot straight to No 1 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart), Top 10 hit "Astounded" and Top 20 hit "Mourning," the album rocketed to No 4 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart, while selling close to a million copies.
The quartet have also played a slew of festival and radio shows, sharing stages with the likes of Coldplay, Stone Temple Pilots, Green Day, and many more. Tantric also rocked screens big and small, with the song "Breakdown" prominently featured in two Warner Bros. films, Driven and Salton Sea. The song also appeared in various commercials and television shows, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Witchblade.
Don't miss your chance to hear Tantric.
