UK's Violin Virtuoso Charlie Siem to Make His Debut In Taiwan
Tainan, Taiwan (Top40 Charts/ National Cheng Kung University) "Music is such a visceral expression of something beyond thought. That's why I love it," claimed the British violinist Charlie Siem sharing his tremendous passion for classical music in a recent press conference held at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), southern Taiwan.

"I'm going to play an amazing program, Beethoven's "Kreutzer"
Charlie Siem is currently on his first recital tour in Taiwan, revealed the university, and he is going to make his debut in NCKU Cheng-Kung Hall at 7:00 p.m., May 31.

"I'm going to play an amazing program, Beethoven's "Kreutzer" Sonata, Hubay's Carmen Fantasie, Brahms' D minor Sonata, Sarasate's Zigeunerweisen," said Siem who looks forward to sharing the wonderful music with his audience in Taiwan.

When asked about his recent appearance in some fashion venues, Siem said, "It's a great way getting exposure and allowing more people to come in to contact to young person who plays the violin which I think is exciting!"

On his first visit to Taiwan, Siem happily expressed, "So far I have a good time! It's very warm and comfortable for me and my violin which likes humidity. I love the food. Wonderful spice and flavor! I look forward to seeing more people and the concert as well. I feel privileged to be here."

He greets his audience by saying "I love Tainan" in Mandarin, triggered warm applause from conference attendees.

"You have a number of people in the room, you have people on the stage and you have everybody together sharing something that's very positive, and I think that is what the best about music," according to Siem who is so passionate about sharing the violin with more people.

He also said, "I was inspired by music and music itself is what drives me. That's what gives me purpose and meaning every day."

"I have been practicing very hard for many years. I have some good guidance along the way and I've been inspired. The key is being inspired," added Siem elaborating what makes him an outstanding violinist.

The TSMC Foundation has organized Charlie Siem violin recital as one of the main program in 2013 Hsin-Chu Arts Festival.
