Pinata Protest Pay Tribute To San Antonio - "La Cucaracha" Premiere NPR First Listen, West Coast Touring With Reverend Horton Heat

CHICAGO, IL. (Top40 Charts/ Western Publicity) Take a ride through San Antonio with Piñata Protest's new video for "La Cucaracha." The song is featured on Piñata Protest's new album El Valiente which will be released tomorrow by Cosmica Records and Saustex Media. Shot and directed by award winning filmmaker Jim Mendiola, the video packs over 1,000 still photographs and 144 rubber roaches into a warp speed tour through the streets of the band's West Side neighborhood in one minute flat. Coyote Music raves about their version of the "traditional folk corrido 'La Cucaracha'—in which the band takes some poetic license with meaning of 'the roach.' 'La Cucaracha' is shot full of electricity, adrenaline, and a dash of mescaline for good measure."

The video is featured today on Remezcla who declare that Piñata Protest is "proof that you can be as punk as the best of them with an accordion strapped to your chest."
