Humboldt County's New Hip-Hop Is "Supplemental Income"
Humboldt County, CA (Top40 Charts/ Dirty Rat Records) Callous MC of Dirty Rat Records releases a new album titled "Supplemental Income." It is the rapper's second full-length solo project to date. The LP consists of 19 songs all produced by either Dirty Rat beat-maker GMG or Callous himself. "Supplemental Income" features fellow Dirty Rat crew members as well as other local MC's and DJ's, and was recorded entirely in a studio in Hydesville.

"Supplemental Income" is available for sale online beginning this month through many digital retailers, including Amazon, iTunes and CDBaby. The album can also be streamed on various websites such as Callous' official page www.callousmc.com, reverbnation.com/callousmc and through Spotify. In addition, songs from the album are in rotation on digital radio stations like Live365 and Jango.

About Callous MC

Callous (born Calder Hattan on Oct.3, 1980) began writing poetry in high school. While attending UC Santa Barbara in 2000, he started recording rhymes with Kush, a member of Dirty Rats. After graduating, Callous moved back North to Humboldt where he continued
recording and performing with the crew. He released his first solo album "One For The Notebooks" in 2007 and has been prominently featured on all 4 of Dirty Rats' group albums. Callous is currently working on a collaboration with Kush and Dirty Rat crew founder Sonny Wong.

Dirty Rat Records was started in 1998 by rapper, producer, painter and graffiti artist Sonny Wong. Dirty Rats is also comprised of MC's Kush, Stir Fry Willie, D-Rize, Mr. Ocean, and female vocalist Karina. They have released upwards of 10 group and solo albums. Dirty Rats performs regularly in and around Humboldt County and are always working on new music. They have headlined numerous live shows and opened for many well-known artists including Cypress Hill, Big Boi, KRS-ONE, Too $hort, Redman, and Guru to name a few.
