New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Reeperbahn Festival) On the first day of the Reeperbahn Festival, and in cooperation with Initiative Musik Non©profit Project Company Ltd. (Initiative Musik gemeinn¨¹tzige Projektgesellschaft mbH), the Reeperbahn Festival will present "German
Music Export @ Reeperbahn Festival", a programme that turns the spotlight on new artists from Germany and the international dissemination of their music. The Reeperbahn Festival opens on
September 25, and this year the official opening has been expanded to include a programme focussing on German acts.
German
Music Export will get under way with a presentation on the German music market. This will be an exclusive presentation for approximately fifty buyers who are interested in learning about German bands and solo artists and working with them at an international level. Television presenter and author Steve Blame (photo left, ©Marcel Kamps) will act as presenter.
This will be followed by Ray's Reeperbahn Revue, the popular and well©established fixture of the Reeperbahn Festival, to be held at the newly opened Mojo Club. For the first time, MTV legend Ray Cokes (photo right) will devote his show exclusively to German acts. Before an audience of ca. 500 people, four German artists will be interviewed by the British entertainer. These artists will then offer a preview of their evening show by performing live.
Following Ray's Reeperbahn Revue, German bands and solo artists will take the stage in three nearby Reeperbahn Festival public programme locations.
The "German
Music Export" programme provides international buyers with an opportunity to learn about and work with German artists who are seeking to enter foreign markets. The Reeperbahn Festival will extend invitations, including accreditation and accommodation in the official Festival hotel, the Arcotel Onyx, to approximately fifty buyers.
