New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Yo! Promotions) Award-winning rapper Cashmere is excited to release his new single, "Jackie Robinson", via his label The Cash Administration. The blazing joint pays homage to the legendary and iconic Baseball player Jackie Robinson (1/31/1919 - 10/24/1972) who became the first African American to play in Major League Baseball (MLB).
"My single 'Jackie Robinson' means something special to me as he broke the color line in professional Baseball and opened the doors for us
Black Americans in many ways," explained the buzzing Brooklyn, New York rapper.
Robinson broke the Baseball color line when the Brooklyn Dodgers started him at first base on April 15, 1947. As the first major league team to play a
Black man, the Dodgers ended racial segregation that had relegated black players to the Negro leagues for six decades with that Jackie Robinson contributed significantly to the Civil Rights Movement.
The single, "Jackie Robinson", is featured on Cashmere's upcoming and awaited EP "The 730 Project", hosted by 730.
