Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ Persona PR) Nick Mery announced today the release of "Gentlemen Streets" on Friday April 26, 2013. The electronic-pop album not only broadens his musical stylings in the hip-hop and R&B genres, but showcases his work as a producer as well. Having completely written, recorded, and performed every song on the album, "Gentlemen Streets" features 10 all new tracks for Mery's fans to indulge in. Alongside "Gentlemen Streets," Mery will be also releasing a free bonus album entitled "The Blue Dog EP." The album showcases Mery's best in the folk/acoustic music vein, balancing the feel of live instruments with sparse electronic soundscapes. Both records will be released via Mery's label Plaidcore Records, "Gentlemen Streets" will be available exclusively on iTunes, and "The Blue Dog EP" will be available through his BandCamp page on April 26, 2013.
On the new album, Mery shares, "Gentlemen
Streets is written from the perspective of being 27. The feel of the music is supposed to be mature, confident. The tone of the record is intended to reflect someone who isn't afraid of growing older, becoming wiser, and maybe even forgiving themselves for past mistakes. This record is about confidence."
