Blondfire To Play Marathon Music Works This Friday
NASHVILLE, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Nashville Music Guide) Blondfire's newest single, "Where the Kids Are" from their 2012 EP release has a chorus that is as catchy and infectious as they come. This brother and sister Indie Pop duo grew up in Michigan, but have dual citizenships in the US and Brazil (with an American Father and a Brazilian Mother) and they currently reside in Los Angeles. They write and produce all of their own music and were recently signed to Warner Brothers Records. The two have been very busy playing shows and promoting their soon to be released record, "Young Heart."

"A lot of the songs on the record are about living like you're young, living in the moment, and just enjoying life," says lead vocalist, keyboardist, and guitarist, Erica Driscoll. She explained the songwriting process of the band is very much a collaborative effort between the siblings, "My brother would just get a drum loop going usually and we would just try to come up with something that we were both feeling using different instruments."

Very influenced by pop bands from the 80's, the sound of Blondfire is a mix of modern and unique melodies and beats that definitely stand out on the charts. They became the first unsigned band to hit the number one spot on the iTunes Alternative chart and also were added to the Sirius Radio Alternative Nation playlist.

Nashville Blondfire fans can get excited for them to hit the Marathon Music Work's stage on Friday March 29th.
