New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ UMPG) Bon Jovi's new single "Army of One," which the band wrote with Desmond Child, has been selected as the theme song of the Discovery Channel's upcoming seven-part natural history series "North America," which is scheduled to begin airing on May 19th.
"Army of One" is the latest song to emerge from the long series of successful collaborations between Bon Jovi and Desmond Child, which has produced some of the group's most iconic hits, including "Livin' on a Prayer," "You Give Love a Bad Name," and "Bad Medicine," to name a few.
The song appears on the New Jersey rockers' latest album What About Now, which was released on March 8th and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 on its way to selling more than 100,000 copies in its first week. It became Bon Jovi's third straight album to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, following 2009's The Circle and 2007's Lost Highway. The group is currently touring in support of the album.
