Don't miss singing the Y-M-C-A with your friends and family to the world famous sounds of the Village People this summer! Celebrate their carefree songs at the Mable House Amphitheatre on Friday, August 27, and hear them perform some of their well-known hits such as, "In the Navy, " "Macho Man," "Can't Stop the Music," and "Key West."

The Village People began their journey into pop music with Producer/Composer Jacques Morali. He spotted Felipe, the Native American character, dancing in his authentic costume in a crowd in NYC's Greenwich Village. This vision inspired Jacques to put together a singing group made up of icons from the Village area. Not only did the idea work, but it became a pop music legend!

From that moment, the Native American, the Cowboy, the Police Officer, the Biker, the Construction Worker and the Soldier were born into a dynamic group. Together, the Village People's popularity took off! They have sold more than 65 million recordings over the years, and they continue to remain in demand! The Village People's familiarity has spanned more than two decades, and they have had some of the entertainment industry's pinnacle performers as openers over the years including Madonna and Joan Rivers.

Continuing to perform with three of the original six members of the group, the Village People have worldwide appeal for their easy-going and light-hearted lyrics with melodic, pop overtones!
