D'Angelo, Elvis Costello, Bettye Lavette Added To Prince Tribute @ Carnegie Hall

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Here's the latest additions to the Music of Prince benefit concert at Carnegie Hall March 7: Sandra Bernhard, Bhi Bhiman, Bilal, Elvis Costello, D'Angelo and Betty Lavette. They'll join house band The Roots along with Talib Kweli, Princess (feat. Maya Rudolph), The Waterboys and more for a star-studded event.

The concert marks the ninth installment of Michael Dorf's annual series which has raised over $700,000 to date for music education programs for underprivileged youth.

Previous sold-out Carnegie concerts presented by Dorf have honored the music of such timeless artists as Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, R.E.M., Neil Young, The Who and The Rolling Stones. Each year 100% of the net proceeds from the concert are given to music education non-profits. This years recipients include: The American Symphony Orchestra's Music Notes, Church Street School of Music, Young Audiences New York, FIKS (Fixing Instruments for Kids in Schools), Little Kids Rock, and the Center for Arts Education.
