This event will also feature performances by Shiksa and Tracy Thorne. Patrons that bring shoes or coats to donate will pay no cover charge, and Arlene's Grocery and the performing bands will donate 100% of ticket sales/cover charges to benefit New York Cares and its affiliate organizations. This event is the launch of a series of benefits Jaclyn Dima and the Shakey Tables will hold in 2013 as "I Like Your Shoes" recording and video are released. They plan to perform in major cities throughout the Northeast and Midwest, all of which will benefit local charities.
New York Cares is New York City's largest volunteer organization. New York Cares runs vital programs for 1,300 nonprofits, public schools, and city agencies to help people in need throughout the five boroughs. As New York City's lead agency for mobilizing volunteers in response to disasters, the organization has been working around the clock to bring post-Hurricane
Sandy aid where it is needed most. Every dollar donated to New York Cares amounts to $6 in service to the community.

"Through this campaign, with Jaclyn Dima and the Shakey Tables song, I Like Your Shoes, we would like to remind people they can walk in someone else's shoes by volunteering with New York Cares."
