JEKYLL ISLAND, GA (Churchboy Entertainment) What: One of Motown's most versatile vocal groups and pioneers of classic soul, The Legendary Lead Singers of The Temptations in concert! Who: Legendary Lead Singers of The Temptations featuring Glenn Leonard Where: The Jekyll Island Convention Center, Jekyll Island, GA When: Monday, September 6th, 2004 at 8:00pm

While the American Music scene has gone through many changes over time, the sounds of Motown remained consistent. Even today The Temptations music continues to dominate the airwaves on a variety of radio stations.

Glen Leonard joined The Temptations in the mid 70's and had a long and illustrious career as the lead singer of The Temptations from the mid 70's through the mid 80's, a period which encompassed the groups greatest success. He performed on 10 albums with The Temptations, singing lead on many songs including 'Open Their Eyes', 'Ever Ready Love' and the classic Christmas song 'Silent night', from The Temptations 'Give Love at Christmas' LP.

Leonard is a native of Washington, D.C. and was a veteran of numerous R&B groups in the 60's and 70's before joining The Temptations. When he left the group, it was to start his own ministry and in 1988, he was ordained with an honorary doctorate degree from the Friends Christian University in San Diego, CA. He founded and pastors a church in Houston, TX and is now doing concerts, giving audiences all over the country a genuine Temptations experience.

This Reunion of The Legendary Lead Singers of The Temptations promises to bring back those glory days of the Motown era. 'This is the perfect way to end the summer, truly a show not to be forgotten', Promoter Jonathan Watkins says.
